The Future of Education. A pretty simple idea, don’t you think?

Between you and me there is no “Future of Education” as such, but only the future systems, technologies, and frameworks of the on-going (or lifelong) learning. This is the main idea of the Ericsson Networked Society activation that started in 2012.

I was part of this life-changing activation, meeting and hearing so many inspiring personalities and their view on the future of young talent’s learning paths. The film was a provocative question to the school/university “system” that has stayed the same for very long. It is a ‘status quo’ that creates more problems, than what it ‘solves’.

It is a system of favoritism, copy-paste, and theorizing endlessly. For sure, it is not securing thought-lead, openness, creativity, and judgment. It doesn’t aim to build the soft skills that will save the day for inquisitive and creative minds in the future.

There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning
