SpoudaseFest (Fest for Festival), organized for the second time, is a two-day open exhibition that welcomes innovation, workshop, services’ exhibitions – all aiming to serve with information the career and studies’ path planning of each young student. Universities, Associations, Companies in one place.

A big shout-out to the University of Piraeus, Technology division’s professors (School of Information and Communication Technologies) for organizing multiple workshops and discussions for the tech innovations and studies they are driving. I’m not writing this, out of mere politeness for inviting me to their domain and workshops, but I was truly amazed by the progress they have done in A.I., Cloud and IoT university studies.

In the workshop and discussion for Big Data, we went into the implications of big data into society, business, and new governance and disruption models. I raised the idea that Big data need social studies and behavioral interpretation by the new Talent that will work on analytics and reporting of data.

Data, I think, is one of the most powerful mechanisms for telling stories. I take a huge pile of data and I try to get it to tell stories.

Bill Gates is absolutely right when he lists social and human studies among the top-3 investments our societies and economies must do, looking into Talent and jobs transformation. That was exactly my point in every slide and example I’ve raised to the audience’s attention.

Technology (A.I., Automation, IoT) will not ‘win’ on their own the human skills of Creativity, Service, and Evolving ideas. That’s a key take-out for tech-oriented students and schools.

We should not work in silos, and deteriorate human abilities in those (tech-only) silos. What do you think?
